Applications are invited from qualified candidates for appointment to the post
of University Librarian (1 post open category) in the scale of pay of Rs 3740067000/
with Academic grade pay (AGP) of Rs.10,000/.
Qualifications:(i) Masters Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with
atleast 55 percent of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven
point scale and consistently good academic record.
(ii) At least 13 years experience as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 18
years experience as College Librarian.
(iii)Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published works.
Desirable
M.Phil/Ph.D in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/ Archives
and Manuscript Keeping.
Age
Not more than 50 years as on 01.01.2015
{Usual relaxation of upper age limit shall be allowed to the
SC/ST and OBC Communities}
