Experience & Knowledge: The candidate have been exposure in working library and has been involved in Data entry in Library (although is not familiar with MACR &AACR codes) but have been extensively involved in data entry, cataloging of books and training to librarian.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

INSTALLATION AND TRAINING
Install e-Granthalaya database, application and web OPAC on Server
Install e-granthalaya software on clients and connect database server and applications on clients
Prepare Master Data and system values
Create sample live data of 100 documents
Provide onsite training to librarian and concerned officials
Provide on site technical support to library in making sample 100 document data entry in E-Granthalaya Software

DATA ENTRY BASIC
Input sheet preparation
Data entry into E-granthalaya
Labeling , pasting and shelving
Library would provide readymade data for call numbers , subject headings and Keywords
Data entry would be done as per AACR 2 Cataloguing rule with total core fields not more than 20 for books and journals


Salary-: Negotiable

Delivery Period-: One Month(From 01-Jul-2012 to 31-Jul-12)

Joining date-: Immediate

Location of Deployment-: Kendriya Vidyalaya,INS Zamorin, Ezhimala, Kannur, Kerala.
